Research Scientist - Laser Ablation ICPMS

Connected Waters Initiative (CWI)

A full time fixed term 2 year position is available for an experienced Research Scientist with a background in instrumental geochemical analysis with an emphasis on Laser Ablation ICPMS. The position is jointly funded by the National Centre for Groundwater Research and Training (NCGRT), and the Mark Wainwright Analytical Centre (MWAC) at the University of NSW. The candidate will be collaborating with researchers at the NCGRT on groundwater research applications and will be based in the state-of-the-art laboratories at the MWAC. As well as the LA-ICPMS, the candidate will have access to a variety of associated instrumentation for groundwater and climate research, including isotopic analysis and XRF spectroscopy, to build collaborative links with other environmental and geochemical researchers at the University of NSW.
